Hillsborough Schools Selects Three Finalists for Superintendent Position

Tampa, Fla. – (January 16, 2020) – The Hillsborough County School Board narrowed down the list of candidates for the position of Superintendent to the final three individuals.

After a full day of interviews discussing the candidates’ experience, qualifications and plans to continue the successes in Hillsborough County, the School Board selected three finalists; Addison Davis, Superintendent from Clay County, Florida, Dr. Don Haddad, Superintendent from Longmont, Colorado and Dr. Peter Licata, Regional Superintendent from Palm Beach County, Florida.

Mr. Davis, Dr. Haddad and Dr. Licata will sit for final interviews on Tuesday, January 21 at 2:30 p.m. with the School Board. A decision announcing our district’s next Superintendent is expected at the end of the final interview process.

In June 2020, Superintendent Jeff Eakins will retire after 31 years in our district.
