Promoting the Love of Literacy
Preparing students of all ages to be literate members of society.
Through high quality learning experiences, we prepare each student to acquire, construct and communicate meaning across all academic disciplines.
Hillsborough County Public Schools is committed to implementing a comprehensive literacy approach focused on increasing student achievement. Learning to read, write and communicate is a basic civil right of every child and lays the foundation of life-long learning. Reading provides children with the opportunities that will allow them to pursue desired careers, understand world events, and better understand their own personal connections to the world. Through our district's literacy vision and mission, we invite all of our literacy partners to learn more about what literacy is, what it can and should look like within the classrooms, and how it can be developed and encouraged outside the classroom.
By supporting our virtual book drive for supplemental classroom reading, you can make a difference!
