Superintendent Thanks HCPS Educators
Thank you so much for your dedication and extraordinary commitment to our students and families. As a result of your hard work, our schools are centers of hope that nurture the heart and soul of this community.
There are so many great things happening and I wanted you to see two videos highlighting beautiful stories. Whether you work with students in their early years or their later years, they think about you and are categorically affected by what you have taught them. The rigor in your challenging lessons and your continuous inspirational demeanor- make all the difference in the world.
In the first video, Ada Vasquez speaks about the positive impact her second grade teacher had on her and in the second video, a story is told about Tina Cook, a teacher who goes above and beyond to inspire her students.
These two videos are just samples of the great things happening in our district every single day. We know that we have phenomenal teachers in all of our schools. It takes a huge amount of dedication from each of you to see the kind of progress we are seeing all over our district. Thank you for being part of our rising high school graduation rates.
During Teacher Appreciation Week and every day – please know that you have my respect and admiration – but most of all, my gratitude. I am aware that when you work with students, you teach them so much more than academic subjects.
Thank you for being “the one” who makes a difference for that special student and thank you for all I know you do, to help prepare students for life!
