Early Childhood Programs serves children in private child care centers, family child care homes and public school sites.

Child Care Resource and Referral

School Readiness Program is funded by the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County and provides financial assistance for child care and early education to low-income working parents and families referred by partner agencies. The goal of the School Readiness Program is to provide safe, healthy and quality early educational experiences that support enhanced outcomes for children, their families and the surrounding communities. School Readiness staff works with child care centers and family child care homes to train, coach and provide technical assistance on developmentally appropriate curriculum, character development, and instructional assessment.


Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) is administered by the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC).
